Hi guys
Baisicly, question is this
Can Ad-Hoc networks cause interference within a wired wireless network hub infostructure tot he point of laptops trying to connect to the hub infostrucure being unable?
The 6th form im at is baisicly trying to ban ad-hocs in an attempt to solve this problem, (the real problem being the wireless network is poorly designed and cant handle the 400 odd laptops trying to use it, but they dont listen to me *shrug*)
I would like to know if at all ad-hocs could have contributed to this problem and to what extent, realy id be looking for a report / paper on this which I could print off and present to the head of 6th form.
2-3 Ad-hocs
around 30-60 people use the wireless AP at one time
about 5 AP's within close proximity
Channels / bands would have to check, but AFAIK they use channel 2 around where we make the ad-hocs
Cheers
