Anyone using this or its close cousin (1420SA)?

Arrived from oc.uk today + 2 hard drives. Cannot get it to function at all. After BIOS it says "Warning: Have ROM option can not be invoke (Vendor ID: ...)" and in Windows I get a code 10 error when installing the CD drivers.

Don't actually need to install an OS on it, I just want a RAID0 data storage set up.

I've also tried booting off the CD and the manager can't even find the card.

Tried in both 8x and 16x PCI-E slots on this 680i, nada. (rest of spec in sig)

RMA job? :(

Update: Seems it conflicts with the onboard 680i's RAID.

Since I can't run the Adaptec in non-RAID mode, it's not much use for adding data drives to a PC!

Will try meddling with manual IRQs but not holding my breath, urgh.

Try disabling the onboard RAID in the Mobo BIOS

I've got the 1420sa, and it works just fine with my 680i based motherboard. However, having said that, the RAID functionality on the motherboard is disabled.

Aye, I ghosted my XP RAID0 partition to boot from the 1430 in the end, and used the 680i ports as data drives in non-RAID mode - works just fine.
