adapter fans safe?

Hello,

Are these fan adapters safe?

I want to reduce the speed of my case fan because its absolutely flying and theres no option in the bios or anywhere to slow it down.

Knowing absolutely nothing about volts, wouldnt 12 reduced to 7 volts just halve the speed?

i'd remove that link mate. posting links to competition sites is prohibited i'm afraid. OcUK do, or at least used to do, fan speed reduction cables, i've used a couple of them and they are perfectly fine. i think it was akasa made them

You could always just pop the red/black wires out and plug them into a molex

Thanks for that. Would it work on the CPU fan aswell? because that ones a bit loud.
