Adapteva computers

It's an interesting piece of kit. I might do some testing on my raspberry phi to see how the software config works out.

How much similarity is there with the raspberry pi? It looks like these are meant to run Linux off a MicroSD Card on the ARM A9, and then compute on their specialised chip (the "Epiphany").

Presumably any parallel workload suitable for a GPU would run well on this?

Probably if they can get it running under OpenCL it should be a no brainer for some projects.

However you have to realise that they are only selling 16 chip boards now for $99 which only does 32 GFLOPS Peak Performance

Its the 64(66) core boards that do 90Gflops so who knows how much they will cost

An AMD 7970 does 3584 SP and 896 DP GFLOP/s
