I have my stable set voltage overclock @5Ghz 1.34v but for the life of me cannot get adaptive to work. Hell, I cannot even post.
Specs: Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 5, 8600k.
I set LLC to high, normal is unstable even on set voltage, leave C states alone, set IA AC 1/IA DC 1.
Vcore I type "Normal" to allow adaptive mode and set my offset.
This is where I think I'm having my problem. I know my stable set voltage of 1.34v but am unsure of the offset I need for this. I have tried something like 0.340v for 1.34v. Is this completely wrong and I should be doing 1.34v minus default volt value of 1.165v =0.175. So I set my offset to 0.175?
It scares the hell out of me when I have to use a screwdriver to clear my CMOS every time I try to set adaptive.
Any help or a step by step would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Jason
P.s I know there is a way to clear CMOS using a combination of Power, Reset in conjunction with the PSU but cannot remember the process. If anyone can that would be helpful too.
