Adaptive sync (LFC)?

I mentioned it in another thread but it wasn't related to the subject so I'll try a new one. Does a monitor that has adaptive sync but not free sync have any low frame rate compensation (LFC) like a free sync premium monitor has? I'm thinking specifically about the Asus Asus VG27AQ.

As it says it's Gsync compatible does that mean it has LFC if I run it with a Nvidia GPU at least?

nVidia handles low framerate compensation differently in many cases to AMDs approach but it is beyond something I can cover posting from my phone.

Thanks. I can probably look Gsync up in detail myself. But what interests me the most is if I'm missing out on something if I buy the monitor mentioned. What if I get a AMD GPU? Will it even be able to run free sync? Yet alone LFC?
And if I buy a Nvidia GPU... will the monitor be able to run the equivalent of LFC?
Or in short, when are monitor says it has "adaptive sync" but doens't specify more than that it's Gsync compatible, what does it really imply?
