I was playing around with my 6600K OC last night and I managed to get a stable 4.5GHz @ 1.280v. The problem I have is since plugging these values into adaptive voltage mode (Additional Turbo Voltage: 1.280, Voltage Offset: +, Offset: 0.001v), HWMonitor is showing my maximum voltage as 1.312, 0.032v beyond what I know is stable at this OC.
My understanding is that the Additional Turbo Voltage was the Vcore upper limit when under load? Are there any settings that might reign this in a bit?
Settings:
Ai profile: XMP
Multiplier: 45
Vcore: Adaptive, 1.280, +0.001 offset
LLC: Level 4
System:
i5 6600K 4.5 @ 1.28v
Asus Z170M-Plus
8GB DDR4 3000MHz
Edit: Another thing I noticed is both my HWMonitor and BIOS Vcore readings seem to be set values such as 1.244, 1.264, 1.280, 1.296, 1.312. Say I enter a manual Vcore of 1.270 it will stay at 1.264, and won't go up to 1.280 until I set a Vcore beyond that. Is this normal? Unless it's an error in the readings then it surely makes upping Vcore between these 'set' values pointless?
