AdBlock for Chrome

I just installed AdBlock for Chrome and had a number of privacy warnings and it stated it could see my private data on all sites and adding the button to Chrome said it could see my history too. Is this programme safe? Has a ton of users and can't find any really negative reports with regards to safety/security but thought better to be sure.

AdThwart is better for Chrome, it uses the proper AdBlock subscription lists too and has usable element hiding and collapsing.

I don't know what you mean by "privacy" - these adblockers protect your privacy.

Admuncher covers all browsers (IE, chrome, safari, FF etc) and html ads on your PC (i.e. removes ads from live messenger etc as well) www.admuncher.com

Pretty sure all extensions for chrome say that they can access your private data when you install them. It's probably just a general statement, it doesn't mean it actually goes through your data.
