I'm running OSX 10.4 on my MBP and am after an adblocker for Safari. I could download Firefox, but I have no particular need to and I quite like Safari - apart from the ads. There are a fair number of adblockers out there but I don't really want to have to pay for one and some don't work with 10.4.

There's (what looks to be a) fairly comprehensive list here: http://pimpmysafari.com/plugins/?c=Adblocking

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with any of those or if you'd recommend a different one?

Cheers :)

Generally a lot of people use PithHelmet.

Although adding plugins to Safari is a bad idea - if you want to extend your browser use Firefox (and to make it look Safari-like, with the GrApple theme) :)

I use GlimmerBlocker, not really sure what I should say about it except it... just works? Not only that but it's not limited to Safari either :)

I had Safari Adblock before, found it quite annoying how some (sponsored google) links would open a new blank tab with nothing but Safari:AdBlock in the address bar :/
