Ryzen 9 5900X CPU
RTX 1070 Graphics Card
Samsung 1TB NVME
2x SSDs
1 HDD
Arctic Freezer AiO
4x Case Fans

All this works fine, and I will soon transfer everything to a Phanteks 917 case that supports 2 power supplies. When\If Radion 6900 XT is available at a sensible price, I will add one.

Question:
When I add the 9600 XT do I buy an expensive 1000w PS, or add a cheap 500w to run alongside the Corsair?

What would power what in a dual PS setup?

Not really a good idea to run a PC with 2 PSU's, unless you know what you are doing as regards connections. Also the heat coming from 2 PSU's in the system wont help as well as the power draw from both PSU's. The case is designed for 2 PC systems in one case, hence the need for 2 PSU bays though Phanteks does make Dual System PSUs or a splitter.

Plan B, Sell the HX & put the money towards a 1000 watter. a lot less faff.

One good psu is what you want, as above don't go down that rabbit hole it will only cause headaches. Only PSUs worth doing that with are the ones designed to do that and they are not cheap either.
