Add another 8gb?

I currently am waiting for this 8gb kit to arrive:

Im wondering, while its so cheap, if I can add a 2nd dual channel kit of the same ram?

I know there have been issues in the past with all 4 slots been taken up, but not sure how it works with current chipsets?

I am currently running 16GB of G-Skills (4x4GB) styicks and havent noticed any decrease since i was running just teh 8gb. i have similar or equivelent specs to you as well. Just some first hand input. :-)

I also have 16gb but i'm using corsair vengeance not notice any decrease... if you think you need it and price is right then go for it.

as the others have said ^ it won't decrease your performance, it will increase it! whether it is noticeable or not

Having just upgraded from 4GB to 12GB - it's made a massive difference to me.

I found it quite easy to max out 4GB though.

Prices at the moment meant for me (even with my super expensive tree hugging eco ram) 4GB sticks aren't much more than 2GB sticks.

I have previously had only 4gb of ddr3 1333 ram, but since I upgraded to 8gb 1600, it's made a good improvement within games and for £40 you can't go wrong !
