Thinking of upgrading from 16Gb to 32Gb ram.

On x370 Asus motherboard with a Ryzen 5800x3d.

Current ram is 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200, running on XMP.

I have a tower cooler so would have to check clearance.

Am I better off getting two more sticks of 8Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 to make 32Hb total, or replacing the existing sticks with 2x16Gb, either in 3200 or 3600MHz?

Ok thanks. Im thinking of the 32Gb only because of running the flight sims in VR, otherwise I wouldn't benefit from it.

Im not sure how worthwhile it is paying the incremental increases for better ram. I don't intend to go beyond the XMP profile, and it would be nice to have RGB but not essential.

All 2x16Gb:

Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600C18 (non-RGB) - £73
Lexar Hades 3600C18 (non-RGB) - £80
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3600C18 - £83
Lexar Hades RGB 3600C18 - £90
Corsair Vengeance RGB RS 3600C18 - £91
Kingston Hyper X Fury Beast RGB 3600C18 - £96
Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 3600C16 - £104
Team Group 8Pack 3600C16 (non-RGB) - £140

I just went through the memory QVL list for my motherboard and it only goes up to 3200 MHz options, and lower than this if searching for 32Gb.

Does this just reflect an older board, and so many different memory configs they can't possibly list them all, or does it reflect that there is a good chance the memory won't go to the speed and capacity Im looking at?

Yes , it reflects they haven't tested any more memory for 5000 series CPU , but they never test all memory.

It may no go to 3600mhz threw xmp profile just 3200mhz but should be able to manually set it higher.
