Added 2 gpu, now motherboard having issues

I'm using a z87xoc motherboard and it was all working, until today when i added a 2nd gtx 970.

The board starts with an error code 19 then instantly moves to 15, and just endless reboots without posting an image on the screen.

Any ideas?

tried latest beta bios? I also see your using a soundcard in your other thread,tried without it just to see if its interfering?

I'm not using the soundcard at the moment, I'll do a bios update, if i can to see if that helps.

I've noticed it comes on for like a second cuts out then boots again, also, my keyboard and mouse are not working anymore.

latest bios might help things,esp with new gpu models

can't even get into the bios, i've used the switches and disabled each gpu, and both and that did nothing so can't be a gpu issue.

Trying the RAM now

Ok, I really don't understand this at all.

Booted with only 1 stick in both slots 1 and 3, works fine.. used the other ram in slot 3 works perfect, fails in slot 1, then move to 3 and fails again.

Reboot, try in slot 3 then posts

Trying both sticks fails too.

slots 1 and 3 for better airflow.

1 and 3 are correct as SLI will only work in those two slots.

Memory wise, the two orange slots are the ones to populate

You could "try" connecting the PEG OC 6 pin power connector. Just above your first GPU.

If that doesn't help BIOS reset? You can do that from the mobo itself.

Bizarrely, using 1 stick for a few hours and leaving the machine off at night, fixed it when i added the 2nd stick on the first boot.

I have a soundblaster Z, but there isn't a lot of room between the gpu and next pci-e slot.
