Between 3.30 and 4.15, someone, out of the goodness of their own heart and because their lives were filled with joy and happiness, decided to add an extra racing stripe down the rear driver side door of my car as it was parked - free of charge! So thanks. No really. Just what I wanted. *******

Its down to the white/grey undercoat (dont think its gone as deep as the metal) and runs more or less along the whole of the door panel. No other damage done, thankfully.

I'm off to work now, but whats the best way to get it sorted? Hope its not goin to cost too much.

Kinda put a dampner on an otherwise good day :(

Luckily it's not that deep - T-cut will get rid of most of that. You may be able to finish off the rest with touch up paint.

Scum tbh.

That said, I'd personally stencil 'look what people with small penises do to other peoples' cars' with an arrow pointing to the scratch.

Make dur it's pointing at the scratch though...And not the drivers' window.

*n

Does it at least make the car go faster?!

On a serious note, these ***** don't know what it feels like until you do it to them.

I'm gutted for you mate. I don't know why anyone bothers to do this.

And can someone tell me how t-cut can take marks like that out. I can't even get it to take the tiniest of scratches out

Seems your local special school is failing its students.

Unlucky there. Is it really worth fixing, at least to look nice. Seems you have an oldish 306? Best trying come T-Cut and some touch up to protect from rust. I doubt it's gonna be as new afterwards mind.

Its a 97 but Phase 1 306, so although its not worth particularly much in the grand scale of things, I like to keep it looking good. :)

I don't get why people do it though - you key a car....great...then what? What satisfaction do you get out of it?! Its not logical ...but then, we are dealing with people who make no sense anyway...

Lol. I like that :D Very tempting idea, though it will probably encourage more people to give me more courtesy paintwork modifications...

Its a D Turbo. Its awesomely fast anyway :p ;)

You guys reckon T-Cut will sort it? I thought it just took away some of the paints top layer to revive the finish? How will it work if its down to the white? I might get rid of the couple of granny stripes down the sides too if I'm going for it - should they just peel off?

Cheers for the advice.

Nope its down to the primer, you need to clean it well, fill with touchup paint then sand flat with some wet and dry, then t-cut then polish with some G3 / G10 then see how it looks.

Get some correction fluid and write "Drift Scar" on the side. Drexel Mad Tyte JDM y0!

What annoys me is that they are so retarded they cannot even draw a straight line. Or even draw a stick man on there.

Has anyone tried touch up paint then using T-Cut to smooth it out? Would that work? Then a little rubbing compound to top it off?

If all fails, you could get some mad NOZ stikkerZ on there.

Yes, like i said above really, you can get a Mer scratch repair kit which gets you to do almost what i said.

Gits

I know how your feeling mate. Someone keyed the back of my MX5 the other night and left a 2ft long white scratch across the top of my boot and rear wing :(

You sure the paint didnt just peal off due to the great top speed and/or acceleration forces that a screw moded D Turbo can achieve? ;)

Really isnt nice mate, i am sorry. I went mental when someone did down the entire side of my car, so I know how you feel. Hope you manage to get it sorted fast and cheap!

:D

As fast and amazing as it is, I think even peeling paint due to crazy acceleration when standing still is a feat beyond even a mighty DTurbo...

Me too! I'll look into the t-cut method and others that have been suggested. Cheers :)

If it's down to the primer like you say, and as long as that photo makes it look i think it will be very hard to make it look decent. :(

Dam it, just as I was getting a better vibe from Sheffield crime wise. That happening to my car is one of my nastier nightmares. Feel for you :(
