This thing is really starting to bug me. I get pop ups from them all the time advertising all manner of crap. From tescos to car insurance to banks etc.

I've ran Spybot search and destroy, Adaware and a scan on www.ewido.com and I also run spywareblaster aswell.

Spybot found nothing and the other 2 found a couple of tracking cookies which I deleted.

I'm still getting the popups.

What can I do and where the hell did this crap come from???


EDIT: had a browse about on here and am now running superantispyware to see if that helps....if it doesn't malwarebytes is getting ran next

What browser?

It's probably running as an add on linked to a registry key. Check for anything unusual in addons and disable it. Following restart it may re-appear.

Also run msconfig. Click on start - run (or type in the search bar on Vista) and type msconfig and press enter.

Click on startup, remove everything apart from your anti-virus program and reboot.

browser is IE, SAS has found 71 threats so far. half of these are in the registry. I'll see what happens then pprob follow your advice...Thanks GW
