Adding a borg to F@hmon

Just got a borg, How do i add it to f@hmon to check how its going?

Where's the machine in relation to the FahMon program? Are they on the same LAN?

Yeha there on a lan

right click in top LHS window and add client (use ... button to located folder on LAN)

The borg which is on lan isnt on 24/7, will f@hmon on my pc only update how much it has done when both pcs are on?

How do I do it if it isnt on a lan or cant I? (for future reference! )

Fahmon looks at the F@H logs so the % will be up-to-date evertime you open it. ETA OTOH will be off untill it's had a few frames recorded in real time (correct me if I'm wrong people)

Theres no way to check if the borg is not on your lan though

If F@H is set as a service - you could guess that it's on or not on by if the service is running - but it's not foolproof as service could be manually stopped

Hmm so theres no way of monitoring your friends pc's borgs?

What do you mean by seeing if its a service? If its a service on their pc theres no way of telling that hes folding from sitting in the comfort of your own home?

Nope not possible on F@H unfortunatly

Guess its just waiting around to see if anything rolls in..

You could always VNC into the machine in question so you could snoop on the WU's progress.
