Adding a couple of fans via PWM splitter

So I'm gonna be adding a pair of Akasa AK-FN057 Apache 120mm's to the front of my case via an additional PWM splitter -

So you have the the psu molex attach at one end, and the two splitters going to each fan, but does there need to be any additional connection to the mobo? I see a motherboard connector in the pic but am unsure where this should go.

Using a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R / Antec 300 btw.

The motherboard connector goes to the 4 pin cpu fan header, this supplies the pwm signal to the fans, the akasa splitter cable can control 3 fans of this header with power from the psu, i use a setup like this with 2 fans on a cpu cooler and 1 rear case exhaust.
