Adding a res to a Coolermaster Eisberg

Hi guys,

Just a quick question... I'm going to be ordering my Parvum later this week and would like to install a 240mm rad and a reservoir, and use a CoolerMaster Eisberg solo (as in just the pump/block bit)

Purely for aesthetics (and I suppose for some performance) I am going to be buying the acrylic tubing and fittings separately (also using Mayhems white coolant)

Thinking of buying the below res, does anyone know if adding another reservoir would be an issue?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Bitspower Z-Multi 80mm Water Tank £34.98
Total : £38.89 (includes shipping : £3.26).

It's pretty pointless, the Eisberg already has a built in reservoir. It shouldn't cause any issues though, and won't affect performance for better or worse.

Well, if you are planning to spend extra money on reservoir, why not buy this instead:

YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES (Incl. Pump) £79.99
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy - Acetal + Nickel £52.99
Total : £142.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Same price, better performance, better looks.

or

YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 2.2 X-RES (incl. pump) £63.95
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy - Acetal + Nickel £52.99
Total : £126.54 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Lower price, same performance, better looks.
Another thing, why is it better, if AIO breaks, you have to replace the whole unit which combines cpu block, pump and res.
In normal loop all of those are separate so if anything breaks, you only replace that part.
Much easier, right?

It just looks so cool though :D I'm not worried too much about performance, just aesthetics look amazing...

Good point there mate, and those look like some good alternatives. I just prefer the look of the Eisberg as opposed to the bulkier EK pump/res combos...

I would avoid the Eisberg considering that you will replace most of the loop and people have been having leaks from one of the recent batches. The Eisenberg will struggle if you expand the loop too.

I can understand the aesthetics part to it (though personally i find it quite bulky and ugly compared to proper watercooling blocks), just seems weird that you ware willing to spend more than a standard custom loop would cost and end up with just upper end AIO loop performance.
