Adding a second memory kit?

I've got a second 16gb (2x8gb) Kit on the way. From what I can tell it appears to be the same capacity, speed, timings and version number. Another identical kit.

My question is would it best to have the different kits in alternate slots or have each kit in the same channel. For example if the we label kits, kit 1 and kit 2, would it be best to have the four dimm slots populated as 22 11 or 21 21 or even 12 21? Or will it make no difference if the kits are indeed identical with the same dies?

Is it best to have one full kit per channel? Or half and half? The QVL for my board states that it has been validated for 4 dimms with these modules.

It shouldn't matter in the end. There might be differences if you're trying to push the frequencies above the limits though (but you won't know until you experiment).

I don't intend to push the memory frequency tbh. 3600mhz kit so will just be running XMP.

Just populate the slots and give it a go! There's a 99.99% chance that they'll just work.
