So i have a Asus VII Hero
And it lists on the motherboard a T_Sensor connecton
it shows in bios as well
I am interested in adding a temperature sensor so i can set case fans to rev up based on temperature from that sensor

Has anybody done it?
Will it work?
And what should i buy for it?

I recently saw on an Amazon review that it's just a standard 2-pin connector with a thermal sensor on the end, the type which are common on loads of digital fan controllers.

I can't link due to it being a competitor (it's not Amazon), but a quick search ought to return the right result. Use "thermal" rather than "temperature".

I've got a few from my current build which I intend to use on my soon-to-be-built system to monitor an uncooled hard drive quick mount bay, so when the temperature reaches a certain range the motherboard will kick in a fan I'll tie under or above the bay.
