I'm doing something wrong , so i'll ask the experts here :)

My main rig is linked via ethernet to a Netgear DG834Gv3 router , works fine.

Just bought a Thinkpad T30 laptop ( XP Pro + SP3 ) and want it to use the router wirelessly.

It has " Integrated 802.11b wireless "

The laptop finds the router , no problem , and display the SSID name and the signal is displayed as excellent.

Try to connect with IE and get " you are not connected to the internet " - and a diagnostic option.

These are my router settings , i've added the laptop to the Wireless station access list ( giving its Name and MAC code ):

And this is the IE settings from my main rig , that iv'e used for the laptop also :

Can someone point out my mistake.

Thanks.

Do you have lan ip reservation conflicting?
Wireless station access control on?
Double check the WPA password
Maybe try turning off the WPA security to test if it works then?(obviously turn on after :))
I always tick `Automatically Detect Settings` (3rd pic)

Can you explain LAN ip reservation , please - I'm lost on this stuff :(

Wireless station access control is on - Yes

Will try all the other options.

Thanks.
