Hi,

I have a RAM upgrade related query that I hope someone can assist with - I'll do my best to detail everything...

A few months back, I purchased the following bundle from OCUK and overclocked my system to 3.31GHz with the instructions provided.

1 - Akasa 2024-Pin 30cm PSU Extension Cable
1 - Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
1 - OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2N1066SR2GK)
1 - Tuniq Tower 120-LFB CPU Cooler (Socket 478/754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)
1 - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)
1 - OcUK Overclocking Guide - Abit IP35 Pro, Q6600, 2GB OCZ PC-8500, Tuniq Tower, AS5
1 - Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
1 - Antec Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

I currently have 2GB (as described above) and I'm running Vista - the RAM timings are as follows:

DRAM Frequency - 460MHz
FSB : DRAM - 4:5
CL - 5.0
tRCD - 5
tRP - 5
tRAS - 15
CR - 2T

CPU Clock:
Core Speed - 3312.3MHz
Multiplier - x 9
Bus speed - 368MHz
Rated FSB - 1472MHz

If I were to put in another 2GB (of the same memory making it 4x1GB of OCZ PC2-8500c5), which settings will I need to alter / attend to?

I'm purely trying to gauge whether an additional 2GB is a worthwhile cause for my set-up, so your advice is welcome.

Many thanks in advance!

you will probably be fine without touching any settings. At the most all you'd have to do would be to up the vdimm a tad or loosen the timings slightly
