adding another 8GB ram issue

hi i purchased at the end of last year the 8pack Z-170E i5 overclocked bundle with installed 8GB ram. I now have purchased another identical 8GB ram and when put in pc becomes very unstable and crashes all the time. Please help any ideas.

Is your system overclocked? drop it back and see if its stable.

yes it is overclocked. i have tried without overclock and runs fine.

likely that the new ram doesn't like the speeds set in your OC. its pretty normal. i added an extra 8gb and had to downclock my ram a bit. cpu was fine for my case.

Your now running 4 sticks?? This will put more strain on the IMC and that will lower how much you can overclock your cpu.

Post in the 8pack sub forum of the overclock thread and he will help you get sorted.
