Adding Avi to Itunes

Hi

How do a add an avi file to itunes library? I tried importing and add to library - but nothing happends. the files are divx files and I need them in itunes to play them in front row.

you don't need to add them, you cannot add them anyway

put them in the movies folder and they will show up in frontrow and will be playable

Or you can create a shortcut in your movies folder to the folder where you store them, saves creating copies.

FYI: If you don't have the right codec it will just show a blank screen in FrontRow.

Try downloading VLC player if you don't use FrontRow, or failing that if you need to use the FrontRow goodness download the DivX codecs

Thanks for the tip, I was just about to ask why I get a black screen with avi files.
