Guys ,

Just a quick question , I have a Halifax Credit card which is interst free for the next 12 months on purchases .

I needed to draw some cash on it for a very short term , 2 weeks , and was wondering could I add funds to my PayPal account with this credit card and withdraw to my bank account ?

Would I be charged PayPal fees and if so how much . Ta.

Yes you will be charged a fee but it will depend on how much money you pull from your card and again when you xfer it to your bank account!

add card to paypal
buy something
remove card from paypal
get a refund
paypal cant refund to the source so gives it to your paypal account
withdraw to bank account

PROFIT!

Most places will only refund to the card the payment was from.
Prevention of money laundering I think.

And also if you could Xfer to paypal and then Xfer to bank you've just dodged CC Fee's.
Obviously they wouldn't be too chuffed about that either :p

Best way around this which i have done is if you have a balance transfer for however long is transfer to another credit card and buy from the other. There is one bank at the moment that is doing 18 month balance just pay the fee.

I did this once for a rather larage amount.

I set up a second PayPal account in the name of my business at the time (who says you dont also have a business hmmm). I paid myself the amount. Withdrew funds.

All you need is to use a second set of account details, so as long as you have more than one bank account you will be fine. Obviously cost me the PayPal fee at credit card rate.
