Adding Hotmail Account to Gmail

For ages I've had Gmail setup to pull e-mails from my Hotmail account. I've recently gone through an exercise of changing all of my passwords and now Gmail no longer connects with my Hotmail account. I get the following error (the only change is my password!):

Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.
Please contact Microsoft's support team for more information on POP access.

Both my username and password are correct.
