Adding memory - Compatible?

Hey folks,

Being using photoshop/video software for a while but only sitting on 8gb.

Was considering purchasing another 8gb but was wondering if it has to be exactly the same as current.

GeIL EVO Leggera 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (GEL38GB1600C9DC)

The 4GB sticks are no longer available on OCUK so thought I'd check if i could go with some of the sticks on offer. Would it be worth grabbing 16gb of quad channel DDR3 instead?

I'd just get another kit of 2x4GB 1600MHz branded memory.

Yeh just read a bit.

I have a Z77x-ud3H mobo, think that means i can only run dual channel anyway. Could be wrong.

So buy a 2x8gb kit and flog the other kit to make back some of the cost?
