Ok, time to confess, I bought a OC overclocked system about a year ago. System has been faultless but I fancy adding some more RAM.

System is overclocked as below and I think I have CB 8500 overclocked to run at 1066. Questions:

1. Can I add 1GB in slot 2 or should I keep it simple and add another in 4 as well? (I know about the 32bit issue with not addressing 4Gb)

2. Is it likely that I'll have to tinker with the overclock settings/voltage when going from 2Gb to 4Gb?

3. Anything else I need to consider?

many thanks.

Is it the system in your sig? If so, is it one 2gb stick or is it 2 1gb stick?

If the first, get another 2gb stick, if the second get 2 more 1gb sticks (preferably of the same type and speed.)

Ideally you want to keep in running in dual channel, so I would recommend going with either 2gb or 4gb. If you want to go with 3gb, try to find 2x512mb sticks, but I think at that speed it is unlikely.

And I expect that you will have to tinker with the BIOS settings initially, but it shouldnt affect you too much, particularly on such a good mobo!

You'll need to raise the NB voltage by 0.1v, and set the DDR2 Ref Voltage to +2%.
