adding more memory

hi guys a quick question which i'm sure will have been asked before
i have 2 * 1 gig xms2 mem atm.
can i add another pair of the same and still run in dual channel mode.
will i have any issues with it.
i'm upgrading to vista and wanted to have more memory.
kit as in sig.

Yes you can add another set and they will run in dual-channel mode.

But be aware that Corsair change the chips they use on their memory pretty often, and as such you may find that the new set won't run with the old set.
 
Just bought 2 sticks of XMS2 and have been running them in dual channel fine with the old stuff. Ive been swapping them about aswell.

For dual channel to work ALL you need is 2 sticks of the same size, same speed, and with the same number of chips per side of the stick. All this matched pair same brand same chip type stuff is rubbish.

I have however just started the replacement of mine with 2x2GB as my mobo didnt like 4 sticks
