Adding More Memory

Morning all,
I have an Asus Maxmuis Hero X with only Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz. I want to upgrade to 16 GB for the new BF. Seem they only sell 8GB. Will Just Putting one 8GB in be ok.. or better to get 2 x 4GB. I cant seem to find any that sell 2 x 4GB. Or should i sell and buy a new set. Have about 100 quid. but rather spend less.. single parent now

Dont get one 8gb stick its not optimal so if you cant find another 2 x 4gb get 2 x 8gb you should still be able to use the 2 x4gb as well.

If you have any problems using the 2 sets then just use the 2x8gb in the correct slots.

You can put in a 8GB stick and keep dual channel mode, you'd have to move one of the 4GBs so they're in the same channel (the 8GB stick goes in the other channel, manual will tell you). It's not common to do this, but I've had no problems with it. The downside is that if it doesn't work, you're left with 1x 8GB stick that's no good to you and will be harder to shift.
