Hi there,
I'm after a bit of help if I may... I want to add some more RAM to my machine due to increased use of things life After Effects + the relatively good price at the min, but have been putting it off for ages due to my overclock.
I bought a pre-built & pre-overclocked machine from Overclockers a few years back, and they said that adding RAM would invalidate any help they can give you with the overclock, plus I think that I will need to re-do it. I'm really happy with the overclock as it is, as I've never had an issue with it, so really don't want to change it.
So, my question - if I add RAM how do I get my overclock back to 'normal'?
System specs are;
Mobo - Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 (Socket 1366)
CPU - Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4ghz
RAM - Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel (CMX6GX3M3A1600C9)
PSU - 750w BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro
GPU - MSI GTX670 TwinFrozr OC
As above I currently have 3x2GB sticks, and I'd be looking at getting another set of the same RAM as I already have, so 6x2gb. It's the CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 stuff (here - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-205-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1389)
Thanks for the help!
