Hey guys

So I want to add more RAM to my PC. Here is what I have. I just copied it from EVEREST Home Edition.

CPU Type - AMD Athlon 64, 2200 MHz (11 x 200) 3500+
System Memory - 1024 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
Motherboard Name - MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (MS-7025)
Video Adapter - NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (256 MB)

So yeah the question is really about the RAM in my mother board and the slots.

So here is my MOBO

I have 512MB of the RAM in each of the green slots. Now here is the question.

If I buy more RAM, would it be possible to buy 1 stick of 1gb and slap it in the purple slot and leave one purple empty? Or do I buy another 2 512MB and give them a purple slot each?

Also would adding another gig of RAM make any difference, would you recommend it?

I play World of Warcraft and I have terrible FPS on there. I have all the settings on low and sometimes I'm getting 10-15fps. I have all the updated graphics drivers etc. Someone said add more RAM so I dunno.

Does anyone know if I can put any in the purple slots?

Here it was it happening now.

I put the 1gb in the green slot and a 512mb in the green slot, all boots up fine and shows as 1.50gb of ram. Then I put the other in the 512mb slot and it dont see it?

Well Iput the 1gb in the purple on its own and no boot up. So I guess the only solution here is to buy another 1gb and put it in the green slots.

Ah well thanks everyone who put up with me :D
