I have some mp3 songs on a usb key that i like to listen to while
i am playing forza 4.
but i wish to copy the songs from the usb key to the Xbox's hard drive
but it wont let me.
i've tried going into storage devices and i can see my songs but no transfer
option.
I was able to do this 7 years ago but it seems its been disabled.
is it because bill gates is poor and wants us to buy his music?

if i remember right i had this problem and only solved it by putting the music onto comp and burning it as a audio disc to a cdr then put cdr in xbox and transfer that way which worked. this was a while ago though and may have changed then

the only other way is to link your xbox to your comp and then stream it via the music section on xbox

I'm reasonably certain that you could never transfer songs on to the Xbox - but you could rip songs from a CD as bigjonnyauk noted.

What you can do is set up your PC to share your music with the Xbox, then you can just stream over your network anything you want.

If you use windows media centre on your PC and Xbox you can view picture, music and video files i think.

im not sure if you can save them to the xbox however.
