Adding new account to Paypal?

Hi,

I just added a new account to Paypal, and apparently I need to wait for two 'deposits' to show up on my account. How long does it take for it to appear?

EDIT: I just saw that it takes between two and five days.

If I was to cancel this, would I be charged?

I think you might well be if they've already made the charges, though it's possible they might cancel them. You would have been told that they'd take 2 to 5 days before you signed up, and they usually get credited to your account shortly afterwards. What did you need it for that can't wait 2 days? The amounts taken will only be small, less than £1.

I was only intending to purchase something small, maybe just a one-off. I was thinking I could just get it else where. I'll just wait then, no harm in being patient.
