Has anyone done it? Figured I might as well save the hundred or so quid on getting the 8Gb of RAM with it (over 4Gb) and just put in a pair of Crucial sticks myself, if it's easy enough. If you have one, but haven't, do you know where the RAM is/how much of a job it'd be?

It's pretty straight forward, but you do have to be careful removing the IO port bezel to get to the last two screws.

Once all the screws are out of the base, you lift it off starting from the back, and almost hinging it off the front.

From there it's plain as day.

There are instructions for taking apart dell laptops on their website, through the support pages, it can be tricky to find.

It's generally a good idea to do it yourself though, as it's never very hard and you save a few quid!
