ok, i have a 256 stick of pc100 in my machine if i added a 128 stick would i see a perforamnce upgrade?I just need to open a few applications quicker and speed up loading times. Its on a athlon 1800xp so would 128 make much of a difrence?

It would be a huge leap but yes it will make some difference

Absoflippinlutely!

Windoze usually eats the best part of 256mb so another 128mb would be free for your apps, add 256mb if possible.
It also gives your hdd a bit of a breather as windows wont be hammering the swap file.
