Adding rings to a mech keyboard - will it alter the backlighting?

Hi,

if i add blue o-rings to a mechanical keyboard with white backlighting will it then have a hint of blue to it instead or are the LEDs in the wrong place for this to happen. How much of a colour change would it have (if any)?

I'd say no, the ring is usually out the way on the stem
easiest thing to do is pop a key off and look where the LED is
