How do I go about adding a drop shadow to an image box in Quark Xpress? Do I need Quark ALAP ShadowCaster, or can it be done without third party plugins?

Edit; Im using version 6.1 btw

Quark can't do it vanilla. You can make fakeish drop shadows by underlying a tinted box of same proportions but offset slightly.

Indesign does it out of the box, but some printer RIPs Have trouble with it. (Harlequin springs to mind)

Ok, thanks. Im not sure I can be bothered to do it the fake way, as its loads of boxes covering each other, so the shadows would be quite complex. Also the printing doesn't matter too much as its outputted to .pdf Thanks for the answr though. :)
