Adding Subtitles to AVI/MPEG files?

Hi all,

is there anyway to add subtitles to avi or mpeg files?

if you have ffdshow, you can download subtitles from many sites online and tick the 'subtitles' option in ffdshow, just rename the prefix to the same as the video and keep it in the same directory

if you want to merge them, you'll need virtualdub (free) and xvid codec to re-encode the video with the subtitles
