Hi guys. I have got my brother in law staying with us for a while and I don't mind him using my PC. I have set an account up for him to log in with. I am obviously the Admin account that requires a password to log in but he has to have a password too. Is there a way to make his account with out a password. Not that I don't trust him but I prefer to be able to use hi account if needed to alter settings and make sure he doesn't download anything malicious that sort of thing. He is not the most computer literate person.

So basically:
Log in screen, my account password protected and his not protected. Can it be done?

I would guess you could take the password away from that account by going in to change password and deleting it. Otherwise you can set an option if you're signed in as the admin to make the password on someone else's account have to be changed when they log in so at least they can change it to something they're more likely to remember. Think you have to use the user accounts option within that admin snap in thing that I can never remember the name of. If you set them up as a family account then you can add some guardian type controls to what they can do.
