Adding voice over to a recorded video?

I'm wondering what the best way to go about this is, usually I just speak as I'm recording game footage but there has often been times in the past where I've recorded gameplay and not uploaded it as there has been no commentary and that's not the kind of content I want to upload however only allowing myself to speak as I'm playing limits the amount of recording I'm effectively able to do so I want to learn how to properly add voice over to a recorded gameplay video.

I've downloaded Audacity as suggested elsewhere via the googles but as it doesn't (appear to) have a push-to-talk kind of segmented voice recording option doing it this way I'm left with breathing/background noises etc, which I also believe there is a way to remove but can't work out how to do that.

Any advice be great ;>

No expert but with my tinkering with voice clips before you can use Noise Removal under Effects or use Generate -> Silence on sections between talking.

Actually just made something I'm quite happy with using Mumble of all things... since you can use push to talk on mumble, being in an empty server/channel and using it's record functions works kinda well, and could edit out background noise in Audacity after if I knew how, doubt this is the most efficient way though :p
