Adding wordpress to an existing site

I had a website pretty much built for me and have been adding pages very slowly and very badly with my limited HTML skills. I usually cut and paste the whole page and just change text of stuff which is obviously not good enough.

So I haven't given Wordpress a lot of time, but it seems more straightforward without needing coding ability, so am thinking of adding that to my website for new pages.

I would rather not restart building the whole website on wordpress, I would just like to add webpages from wordpress to my website and have it totally integrated.

Is that possible?

It can be done but it is very awkward and a complete pain in the ***. You would be better off setting up Wordpress or other CMS in the main domain and transferring the content in to that. You may need some .htaccess trickery to get the url's as they were etc..

You could develop the website in a sub domain/sub folder so the design is right then you could transfer it over.

Ok cool. I've got it up on a subdomain.

Ok, now to try and match the looks closely enough.
If I start sailing through it I'll transfer the whole website across.

Thanks for the help.
