Additional Driver - Do i have to live with them?

Hi there,

I want to add myself to my sister's policy. She is the policy holder. Basically to bring down her premium... Do i legally have to live at the same address as the policy holder?!?

Of course not, the GF is on both of my polices but we don't live together.

Many insurers will ask if you live together. Often if you answer yes it'll be even cheaper than if you answer no. Neither situation is wrong as long as you tell the truth!

Im assuming some confusion may have arrisen here due to multi car discounts on policies require the owners to live at the same address.

But to be a named driver, no you dont.
