Additional Rate on Car Tax

Hi folks,

According to DVLA my cars additional rate ends February 2024. The car is due to be retaxed 1st December.

Has anyone experienced this/know the best way to handle? I'm thinking the website won't be all that sophisticated and I should go monthly and then renew annually from march 2024?
 
Yeah its pro rata based on the rate for the new tax year. I couldn't find any info on this with our car and was worried as we were in a similar situation earlier in the year but it worked out fine. Crappy tax though.
 
Mine did the same.

The rate was due to change mid way through a 12 month renewal so I did monthly direct debit and then cancelled the direct debit and paid the newer rate in one go

Was quite easy to do
