I see the big "hit-man" has moved again to Sheffield United, for a fee of 1.75m.

Looking at his history, i notice in the past, he moved for fees of £2m, £3.5m and £5m - c.£12m in total, for a player who was a laughing stock when last in the Premiership at Leicester...

Incredible.

£1.25 initial transfer fee for one of the top goalscorers in the championship will seem like nothing if his goals make a difference when it comes to promotion straight away or play-offs.

Ade is a very good championship player, and with the Blades current injuries, they needed a good goalscorer.

Although, in hindsight, i bet Warnock would still like Billy Sharp on his books!

His record in the Championship is "OK", but he is 31 now, proven not to be good enough in the Premiership in the inevitable event that 'United are promoted

He's proven at championship level, he scored 21 goals fr us when we finished rock bottom.

His biggest mistake i think, was leaving wolves too quickly, after they bought him for 3.2 mill off us, he should have stayed there for a bit, but he went to leicester too quickly and was not ready for the step up.

However he didn't do "that" bad at leicester, iirc he scored as many as Heskey did in his most sucessful season at Leicester. Problem he had was that in some ways he was better than Heskey, Heskey often either made chances for others or was on the end of crosses, Akinbyi could make his own chances, but his finishing was not great and missed a fair few chances that he himself created.

We sold him because of aparent 'Financial Worries', so the £5m was needed.

More likely the wolves board loves having money and not spending it. as soon as profit was mentioned, he was gone!

We only had him for a year, and he was linked with loads of clubs during that year.
