Adjust Chassis Fan Speed

Added a rear fan to my rig from an old PC, but for some reason its running at 30000rpm. Sounds like an Aeroplane taking off.

How do i adjust the speed of it? The front intake fan is spinning fine at 3000 rpm. I've tried fiddling with bios but to no avail.

is the fan a 4 pin or 3 pin jobby?

dont think you can control 3 pin without a fan controller

You might not be able to control the speed of it, Not all motherboards can. Give speedfan a go, That might work.

I've downloaded FanSpeed, but cant see an option to change speeds?

Yeah, I've never been able to figure out FanSpeed either.

you'll need a fan controller then, motherboards can only control 4 pin PWM fans via bios

Notice the bottom fan 1 is at 30000rpm, i originally thought it was my extra fan but i've removed that now. Any idea what that represents, and is it ok?

Probably reading a fan sensor connected to nothing on the motherboard. Same for some temp sensors reporting 127C etc.. just ignore.
