Adjust image settings with Preview query?

There are three choices; namely Let the 3D application Decide, Use Advanced 3D settings, Use my preference (Performance, Balanced, Quality).

Which should it be, and does it matter either way?

I had Let the 3D application Decide on both of my gaming laptops, but I noticed after installing a game the control panel had changed to 'Use Advanced 3D settings', I've put it back to the original selection. Will this cause any damage to my games? Do we know why the control panel changed the selection?

If you don't know what your doing, leave it at: Let 3D application decide and use in game settings instead.

You can use GeForce Experience to optimise your games, then fine tune in game settings if the FPS is high enough.
