Hey does anyone know of a shaver which lets you select the depth that it will cut?

I remember seeing an advert for one about a month back that said something like "let's you manage how much stubble you have whether you like 2mm or trimming your beard" but I really can't remember anything about it. Maybe Wilkinson's Sword but their website only has a beard trimmer.

Basically I want a shaver that will let me shave down to about 1 day's worth of stubble (1-2mm) everyday as I quite like that look on me. Any ideas?

Thanks

but without the combs how would you be able to control the depth and precision of the cut?

Im pretty sure i saw an ad for a shaver that could do this

I just bought a new Remington one today to replace my Philips jobbie and it's excellent. Much lighter than hair clippers, no cord to get in the way, plus unlike hair clippers used guardless the blade doesn't get hot after a while.

Plenty of shorter crop lengths.

EDIT

It does:

1.5mm
2.5mm
4mm
5.5mm
7mm
9mm
11mm
14mm
18mm

I shaved on a number 3 today and it's plenty close for my liking.

Christ, there's a billion of them.

Thanks though I think that's pretty much what I'm looking for.

Just out of curiosity, have you or anyone tried the designer stubble kit available there? If so, does it work better than the beard trimmer? I can't imagine why they'd separate the two since they seem to essentially do the same thing.

Real men viciously rub their Keyboard's on their faces, or use Nail Clippers.

lol you had me in stitches.

on a serious note though, I did some poking around and here's what I found:

I-trim: A lot of complaints about this one not cutting evenly, among many other things. But it does offer 0.5mm

Remington MB320C: Seems to be highly rated, lots of praise. Cuts evenly. But hard to clean and only offers 1.5mm and above so not really suitable for 'business-grade' stubble.

Remington PG410: can't find a single review on this, but if it works as well as the MB320C it would be preferred as it goes down to 1mm. Anyone used one?

Philips/Braun/Others: All have issues and lots of complaints.

Sooooo it's probably gonna be the remington MB320C unless someone has used the PG410 and can let me know if it's just as good?

I'd also consider a hair clipper but I honestly can't picture how to shave with one. Do you actually apply it to your face as you would a shaver/trimmer or does it just hover above while you try to get it as close to the stubble as possible?
