I recently won an online raffle comp for a 49" Samsung odyssey g9 QLED widescreen monitor. Previously I'd got a BENQ 24" 2K Monitor

Did it take people long to adjust to a widescreen of such size when they first switched? Only been using it this morning but so far its been quite overwhelming and feels a bit "weird"

All new monitors and TVs seems wierd and too big when you first get them, but you soon get used to them and want even bigger. It's natural, you've been used the to the previous monitor for so long

Resize your app windows to roughly the same size they used to appear on your old screen... then marvel at all the additional screen space you have for other app windows at the same time!
It's no different to getting a bigger work desk, really.

Look up a Microsoft power toy called Fancy Zones. Really helps out when snapping multiple windows into place.

I just got my Samsung G9 a few weeks ago, went with the original model since the brightness and color saturation absolutely blew me away.

Productivity has been exceptional but gaming I’ve reverted to windowed central play.

ive been using the windowed taskbar that drops down from top on windows 11 with 3 panes but the central pane is roughly 24" then the panes either side are narrower so it feels like old monitor but with more real estate for other panes open :)
