Admin problem in Vista

I have a PC the appears to have a problem that admin privileges appear to be revoked when login on with an admin account?

I tried setting up a new user with admin right and have the same problem.

For example, when I run Spybot, anti-virus scanning etc, it comes back and says, You don't have sufficent rights and need to be signed on as an Admin.

Any ideas or ideas how this can be fixed?

I think I had an issue once where Spybot needed to be ran 'As administrator'.

Tried creating an account under safe mode?

Tried both.. It's not just Spybot.

It could be something to do with the program not being aware of virtualisation if UAC is turned on, and therefore trying to write to somewhere directly.

Have you got the latest version of spybot?

For testing purposes, try disabling UAC and trying again.

I have to agree. It seems to be completely ignoring the fact UAC exisits.

Will try that.
